Persepsi Siswa Terhadap Penggunaan Generative AI Sebagai Alat Bantu Belajar Di SMK Negeri 4 Bandar Lampung
Abstract
Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming educational landscapes; nevertheless, its specific impact within vocational education which strictly demands authentic practical skills and hands-on experience remains vastly under-explored. This research aims to analyze the perception level of students at SMK Negeri 4 Bandar Lampung regarding the use of Generative AI as a learning aid. This quantitative study involved 350 students, determined using the Slovin formula from a total population of 2,478. The sampling technique employed Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling to ensure representation across 10 different vocational competencies. Data were collected through a validated 40-item questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results indicate that students' perceptions across all indicators (benefits, ease of use, risks, and attitude) fall within the moderate category. These findings underscore a dynamic of critical awareness among vocational students in navigating machine efficiency alongside the accompanying academic risks. Consequently, educational institutions must formulate explicit ethical guidelines and redesign practical-based assessments to safeguard core vocational competencies from over-reliance on artificial intelligence
