Evaluasi Beban Kognitif dan Kenyamanan Pengguna pada antarmuka Mobile Aplikasi Zoom saat Pembelajaran Daring

Nevertheless, the mobile interface introduces various technical and ergonomic issues that lead to low user interface comfort and high cognitive workload during online learning. This study examines the usability and mental workload associated with the Zoom mobile application during online classes using the System Usability Scale (SUS) and NASA-Task Load Index (NASA-TLX). Data were obtained through a Google Forms survey involving 36 respondents, consisting of university and school students. The findings revealed an average SUS score of 59.09, which falls below the accepted usability benchmark, indicating poor usability and low interface comfort. In addition, the NASA-TLX analysis produced an average Weighted Workload (WWL) score of 67.46, showing that most participants experienced a substantial mental workload primarily driven by the mental demand dimension. Practically, these findings imply an urgent need for mobile interface optimization and highly recommend using larger-screen devices like laptops for synchronous classes to minimize cognitive fatigue

A mixed-methods approach was employed, integrating task-based usability testing, structured observation, and in-depth interviews with ten active TikTok Shop users aged 18–35 years, who were selected through purposive sampling. The System Usability Scale (SUS) served as the primary quantitative instrument for evaluating overall usability. The findings indicate a mean SUS score of 76.5, placing TikTok Shop within the "Good" usability category (Grade B). The platform demonstrated strong performance in the Learnability and Satisfaction dimensions, largely due to its interactive video-based interface, which facilitates user engagement and ease of use. However, notable cognitive friction was identified in the Efficiency and Error Handling dimensions. The average checkout completion time was 4 minutes and 37 seconds, primarily resulting from complex navigation and the presence of non-specific error messages during the transaction process. Based on these findings, the study recommends streamlining the checkout workflow to a maximum of three steps and implementing contextual, informative error feedback to improve transaction efficiency and overall user experience.

This study aims to analyze Generation Z's perceptions of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, trust, and user decision regarding the use of TikTok and Instagram as social search engines. A quantitative descriptive survey approach was employed by distributing a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire to 106 Generation Z respondents who had used the search features on TikTok or Instagram. Descriptive analysis revealed that perceived usefulness achieved the highest mean score (4.24), followed by user decision (4.11), perceived ease of use (4.06), and trust (4.04). These findings indicate that respondents have positive perceptions of using TikTok and Instagram to search for visual information, particularly related to culinary, tourism, products, entertainment, and lifestyle. The findings provide insights into the changing information-searching behavior of Generation Z and may serve as input for social media platform developers to design search systems that are visually engaging, easy to use, and supportive of users' information validation processes.

Many edtech applications have not been able to provide a user experience (UX) that aligns with mental models, users’ cognitive representations of how systems work, potentially triggering technology rejection. This study aims to analyze the mental model characteristics of Generation Z toward digital learning applications, identify the UX factors that most influence their acceptance, and explain the relationship between interface design and Generation Z preferences. A systematic literature review (SLR) method following PRISMA guidelines was used, analyzing 11 sources from Google Scholar, IEEE Xplore, and Semantic Scholar published between 2015–2024. Results show that Generation Z’s mental models are shaped by social media interaction habits, leading them to reject applications with complex navigation and slow responses, while accepting minimalist design, instant feedback, and personalization. Unlike previous UX reviews that focus on general usability, this study specifically synthesizes the intersection of generational cognitive characteristics and edtech interface design, offering a novel analytical framework that links mental model theory with Generation Z’s behavioral tendencies. The practical contribution of this study lies in providing evidence-based design guidelines for edtech developers to align interface architecture with the cognitive expectations of Generation Z users, ultimately supporting higher adoption rates and reduced technology rejection in digital learning environments.

This literature review, rather than an empirical study involving direct user testing, examines usability evaluation techniques (including observation, interviews, questionnaires, System Usability Scale, User Experience Questionnaire, and heuristic evaluation) applied to mobile application prototypes. Searches were conducted through Google Scholar, ResearchGate, and accredited national journal portals covering 2025–2026, yielding 15 articles of which 12 were analyzed. This study aims to identify the strengths and limitations of each technique and their suitability for various scenarios. Findings show each technique offers distinct advantages: the System Usability Scale is practical and sensitive to design changes, the User Experience Questionnaire captures multidimensional user experience, and heuristic evaluation enables expert-based inspection without user involvement. Combining multiple techniques yields more comprehensive results. Technique selection should be aligned with evaluation objectives, available resources, and the stage of application development.

The background of the study stems from the phenomenon where 45% of students admitted to being "sometimes" late in submitting assignments, while 40% stated "rarely," indicating that the problem of lateness is not caused by pure negligence, but by deficiencies in information design on the platform. The study used a descriptive quantitative approach with a questionnaire instrument based on a Likert scale of 1–5 distributed to 20 Information Technology Education students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Lampung. The results of the heuristic evaluation showed that the average system visibility score only reached 3.43 out of 5.00 (moderate category), with critical points being the deadline list feature on the main page (M=2.90) and the clarity of the deadline under the assignment title (M=3.00). The needs analysis revealed that respondents strongly needed automatic H-3/H-1/H-0 notifications (M=4.16), a centralized widget across courses (M=4.10), and general system improvements (M=4.30). The contribution of this research is a structured needs analysis document that can be a reference for developers in redesigning the VClass deadline reminder system to be more proactive, contextual, and integrated.

However, user reviews continue to highlight various issues related to its user interface (UI) and user experience (UX). This study aims to identify and categorize these complaints through a systematic literature review. Ten studies published between 2021 and 2026 were analyzed using four stages: literature identification, article selection, data extraction, and thematic synthesis. The findings revealed five recurring complaint themes: application performance, audio and video quality, accessibility and navigation, feature limitations, and stability under poor network conditions. Among these, application performance and network stability were the most frequently reported, indicating that technical reliability strongly influences user experience. These findings suggest that improving user experience requires not only an intuitive interface design but also reliable system performance and effective communication quality, providing insights for the future development of video conferencing applications.

AI integration allows work processes to become faster, more efficient, and more responsive to user needs. This article aims to analyze the influence of AI implementation on the ease of using information systems, particularly in improving access efficiency, process automation, and user experience. The method used is an analytical study based on AI development and application in modern information systems. The results show that AI has a positive impact by increasing data processing speed, simplifying decision-making, and creating more adaptive interactions for users. However, implementation also presents challenges such as technological dependency, data security concerns, and the need to improve users' digital literacy. Therefore, AI use in information systems should be supported by proper management so that its benefits can be maximized effectively.

Interface design must balance functional efficiency and visual appeal to overcome this challenge. This study aims to analyze the joint contribution of Jakob Nielsen’s ten heuristic evaluation principles and interface visual elements—as visual trust cues (isyarat kepercayaan visual)—in building e-commerce user trust. Employing a systematic literature review (SLR) with a descriptive qualitative approach that adapts the PRISMA protocol, data were collected from Scopus, ScienceDirect, IEEE Xplore, and Google Scholar, yielding 28 articles published between 2018 and 2024, which were then analyzed using thematic content analysis. Synthesized findings show that heuristic evaluation principles shape perceptions of control and error prevention, while visual elements—including color, typography, and layout—act as intuitive first-impression trust signals. This study proposes a synergistic integration model demonstrating that simultaneously optimizing usability and visual appeal strengthens platform credibility and builds sustainable user trust.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat efisiensi interaksi pengguna pada aplikasi WhatsApp dengan menggunakan pendekatan Keystroke-Level Model (KLM). KLM merupakan metode prediktif dalam Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) yang digunakan untuk menghitung estimasi waktu yang dibutuhkan oleh pengguna ahli dalam menyelesaikan tugas rutin tanpa kesalahan. Skenario pengujian dalam penelitian ini difokuskan pada aktivitas utama pengguna, seperti mengirim pesan teks, melampirkan dokumen atau media, serta melakukan panggilan suara.
Analisis dilakukan dengan memecah setiap tugas ke dalam operator fundamental KLM, yaitu Keystroke (K), Pointing (P), Homing (H), Mental preparation (M), dan System Response (R). Hasil prediksi waktu eksekusi kemudian dievaluasi untuk mengidentifikasi metrik efisiensi dan potensi bottleneck dalam alur antarmuka aplikasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, WhatsApp menunjukkan tingkat efisiensi yang sangat tinggi pada tugas pengiriman pesan dasar. Namun, pada tugas yang melibatkan tahapan bersarang, ditemukan penambahan waktu akibat tingginya beban operator Mental preparation (M) dan Pointing (P). Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa meskipun desain antarmuka WhatsApp secara umum telah dioptimalkan secara ergonomis untuk interaksi harian, penyederhanaan langkah pada beberapa fitur spesifik masih dapat dilakukan untuk lebih meminimalkan waktu eksekusi pengguna.

Tujuanpenelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat kepuasan pengguna pada aplikasi shopee, serta memberikan saran kepada yang bersangkutan dalam hal ini aplikasi shopee dengan merekomendasikan hasil uji evaluasi usability terhadap aplikasi shopee. Dalam penelitian ini cara yang digunakan untuk melakukan analisis Usability pada aplikasi shopee dengan menggunakan kuesioner melalui google form, dari kuesioner tersebut sebuah dasar perhitungan untuk mengetahui Usability atau antarmuka pengguna dalam menggunakan aplikasi shopee. Berdasarkan hasil rata–rata persentase responden dengan menggunakan metode evaluasi heuristik pada aplikasi shopee, aplikasi shopee memiliki nilai persentase 97.35. Dari hasil tersebut diketahui bahwa tingkat Usability pada aplikasi shopee sudah sangat baik.
