Evaluasi Beban Kognitif dan Kenyamanan Pengguna pada antarmuka Mobile Aplikasi Zoom saat Pembelajaran Daring
Abstract
The rapid transition to online learning has led students to depend heavily on smartphones for accessing video conferencing platforms such as Zoom Cloud Meeting, mainly because of limited laptop availability. Nevertheless, the mobile interface introduces various technical and ergonomic issues that lead to low user interface comfort and high cognitive workload during online learning. This study examines the usability and mental workload associated with the Zoom mobile application during online classes using the System Usability Scale (SUS) and NASA-Task Load Index (NASA-TLX). Data were obtained through a Google Forms survey involving 36 respondents, consisting of university and school students. The findings revealed an average SUS score of 59.09, which falls below the accepted usability benchmark, indicating poor usability and low interface comfort. In addition, the NASA-TLX analysis produced an average Weighted Workload (WWL) score of 67.46, showing that most participants experienced a substantial mental workload primarily driven by the mental demand dimension. Practically, these findings imply an urgent need for mobile interface optimization and highly recommend using larger-screen devices like laptops for synchronous classes to minimize cognitive fatigue
